Booking Terms and Conditions

Booking Policy:

  • Deposits may be made up to six months in advanced to the retreat/workshop/event start date.

  • Event balance payments vary by client. You can find the specific balances due & payment dates on the website.

  • Failure to pay the retreat/workshop/event balance by the due date means forfeiting your date & reservation and forfeiting your full deposit.

  • Within three months of the retreat start date, full payment is required to secure your date and is non-refundable within 60 days of the date.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Retreat/workshop/event deposits (down payments) are partially refundable if you cancel more than 90 days prior to the retreat start date (a processing cancellation fee is $200).

  • All payments (deposits and balance payments) are non-refundable if you cancel less than 60 days prior to the retreat/workshop/event start date.

If the Retreat/Workshop/Event is Cancelled or Date is Changed:

Lindsay Gurley Health and Wellness LLC will never plan to cancel a retreat/workshop/event, and we strongly advise that you purchase travel insurance in case this does occur. If the retreat is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances we will refund your full deposit, or you may use those funds for another date or work with Lindsay Gurley. We cannot, however, compensate you for airfare or other travel costs incurred (see below for travel insurance options). If the retreat needs to be moved to another date due to unforeseen circumstances and you are unable to make these dates, your payment can be used for a future trip or experience with the guides.

Neither party shall be liable for any failure, impediment or delay in the performance of this agreement if the failures, impediment or delay is beyond the reasonable control of a party, the event or action materially affects the performance of any of its obligations under this agreement, and it could not reasonably have been foreseen or provided against.  For purposes of this agreement, the following shall, at a minimum, constitute an event or action which could not be reasonably foreseen and shall relieve the parties of all obligations and responsibilities under this agreement: 

a) war (whether declared or not), hostilities, invasion, act of foreign enemies, extensive military mobilisation;

b) civil war, riot, rebellion and revolution, military or usurped power, insurrection, act of terrorism, sabotage or piracy;

c) currency and trade restriction, embargo, sanction;

d) act of authority whether lawful or unlawful, compliance with any law or governmental order, expropriation, seizure of works, requisition, nationalisation;

e) plague, epidemic, natural disaster or extreme natural event;

f) explosion, fire, destruction of equipment, prolonged break-down of transport, telecommunication, information system or energy;

g) general labour disturbance such as boycott, strike and lock-out, go-slow, occupation of factories and premises.

Personal Responsibility:

Your safety is a number one concern during your retreat, we have top of the line coaches, certified guides, chefs, and more. However, you are ultimately responsible for your safety, which is why we ask all retreat participants to sign a liability waiver before arrival (included in contract). 

Travel Insurance: 

It is important that all participants are insured for their activities. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover medical expenses and other situations that may interfere with or prevent you from traveling (see below).

The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstances is to purchase trip insurance. Great options for travel insurance include Travel Guard Insurance and Allianz Travel Insurance. Please read through the plans in detail and pick what is best for you. I am happy to help with this process and choice. 

Itinerary Changes: 

Lindsay Gurley Health and Wellness LLC, partners, and all guides have the right to alter retreat programs, dates and itineraries due to uncontrollable events including weather, war, pandemics, other circumstances, or road conditions. These programs may be changed or cancelled at any moment due the trip to assure the safety of our clients and staff. No responsibility is accepted for losses, expenses due to delays, changes of flights or other services because of strikes, accidents, sickness, damage, negligence, weather, war, changes in schedules or other similar causes. Lindsay Gurley Health and Wellness LLC and its partners do not assume responsibility for accidents or deaths that can be traced to the participants’ negligence, acts of third parties or exterior circumstances such as weather, natural occurrences, ware or other similar causes.
